Yep, that's right. November is "National Novel Writing Month."
Earlier today, I was reading a blog that I follow called "Mothers in Medicine" and there's a post on there about NaNoWriMo. I decided to check it out, and I was so elated and happy and excited and I still am!!!
Last year, I told myself I wanted to write a novel. I wrote about 2 paragraphs but after that, I sort of just stopped writing it. I became too busy and I'm still busy. But I figured that I can set aside a little bit of time here and there to write a novel this November!
Basically, you have to write a 50,000 word (or more) novel by the end of November. To sign up for the challenge, go to http://www.nanowrimo.org/. I signed up today!!! Before November ends, you must submit your 50,000 word novel to the website. For successfully completing the challenge of writing a novel in one month, you get a cool badge that you can put on your blog or Facebook or whatever.
Lol. It sounds so fun!!! Why not write a novel for the heck of it? I know I've said many times that I don't like to write, but let me qualify that.... I don't like to write for my classes. =P Writing for fun is... fun!
Anyway, take the challenge and write a novel in a month this November! Yes yes, one month is a little short for writing a novel, but that's why December is National Novel Finishing Month =P

Good luck on your writing endeavors! Lookin forward to reading your novel. I'm sure it'll be great since your blog is already an interesting read.
Any story lines/plots/ideas in mind yet, madame?
Thanks, Marc.
Lucas, nope, not yet! I've been busy studying for my classes. Lol... I think I will just write as I go, but perhaps make a brief outline before I begin.
